Egg Orchids
Ongoing series
Originally created as part of the exhibition ‘Sometimes when I feel empty, I eat a second breakfast’ in 2021, the Egg Orchid series is ongoing. Each Egg Orchid is uniquely cast and hand painted with an air brush. Using techniques learned from my reserach trip to Japan in 2019, studying the art of fake food. These deliacted painted plastic forms look good enough to eat, yet utterly uncanny in their presentation.
